Mr. Meicheng has made his way to riches in the entertainment industry, i.e., as the chairman of Zhejiang Huace Film & TV, one of China's largest production studios. To form the business, Fu united with his wife Zhao Yifang, who had previously had a career in government broadcasting.
Meicheng's earnings have more than doubled in the last year as his shares in the Shenzhen-listed company surged on the rising popularity of homegrown content in the industry. He owns around 58% of Huace, which is based in Hangzhou.
